The decision has been made regarding Kansas State’s starting quarterback, but coach Bill Snyder wasn’t ready Monday to let the cat out of the bag.
During the first Big 12 Conference coaches teleconference of the season, the first question posed to Snyder was the outcome of the four-man race to replace Jake Waters. A starter is in place for the opening game Saturday against South Dakota, but Snyder won’t make the public announcement until Tuesday.
All indications point to sophomore Jesse Ertz taking the field when K-State faces South Dakota at 6 p.m. Saturday at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
