Positive football news! After a few recruiting losses to those pesky tornado-birds, the Kansas State football team finally picked up another commitment for the 2022 recruiting class. Colby McCalister, a defensive back from Friendswood, TX, announced via social media that he has committed to K-State, becoming the first “true” defensive player in the class, which will very likely see a reduced number of high school prospects. McCalister is not yet rated by 247Sports, and has only the “base” 2-star grade from Rivals (essentially he’s still unranked at this point). But expect the physical DB to end up in the 3-star range once evaluations are done.
