For the twelfth time ever, and for the third year in a row, Kansas State has a Collegiate Baseball freshman all-american. Yesterday, Nick Goodwin joined teammates Connor McCullough and Jordan Wicks as recipient of the honor.
Goodwin tailed off as the season wore on, but during the first couple of months of play he was the raging inferno which fueled the Wildcat offense. As late as mid-March he led K-State in almost every offensive category before Dylan Phillips and Zach Kokoska got warmed up.
Speaking of Wicks, the latest MLB.com mock draft by Jim Callis has Wicks going fifteenth overall to the Brewers, but suggests the Mariners might snag Wicks at twelve.
