Kansas State’s Tuesday press conference has generated some buzz after Chris Klieman apparently asked the local media for its help in promoting a positive message about the program. The comment came after Klieman talked about being more positive as coaches and players, but the tweet from Kellis Robinett that fired up social media lacked that context. Overall, Klieman spoke to knowing that his team needs to be better, that they’ve been close, but as Klieman said “...nobody wants to hear close. We need to get it done.”
This weekend’s contest isn’t just a must-win game for K-State, Texas Tech coach Matt Wells is still feeling a pretty hot seat, despite a 5-2 start (their bye week isn’t until November), and this Saturday is likely their last best opportunity to pick up win #6 (and bowl eligibility) as the Red Raiders close out the season with both Oklahoma schools, Iowa State, and Baylor.
