It’s a quick news Monday, but the first item is big.
The injury suffered by Skylar Thompson is being reported as less serious than suspected on Saturday night, and while he’ll be out for a bit he’s expected to play again before the season ends. There are no details on how long “a bit” is other than an acknowledgement that he will not be playing against Nevada on Saturday.
Thompson’s absence probably explains why, even on K-State’s home turf, Nevada has opened as a 1.5-2 point favorite in Vegas.
In the polls, K-State is ahead of Nevada in the receiving votes portion.
