Another Big 12 game for the women, another way found to lose.
Last night in Lubbock, Kansas State had a ten-point lead with 3:24 left to play. ESPN had the Cats with a 99.1% win probability. Even 84 seconds later, with exactly two minutes left and a seven-point lead, that probability was 98.4%.
K-State ended up losing 83-75 after Texas Tech managed to tie the game with a 10-0 run, the last bucket coming with 22 seconds left on a Bryn Gerlich steal-and-layup in transition. The Cats couldn’t get the winning basket in those 22 seconds, and Tech started overtime with a 9-0 run to bury K-State.
