The Wildcats may be without a returning letterman next season, as the Cleveland Indians selected junior OF/LHP Will Brennan in the eighth round (250th overall) of the 2019 MLB First-Year Player Draft on Tuesday. With his selection, the former Freshman All-American and First Team All-Big 12 selection extends K-State baseball’s draft streak to 16 years, and is K-State’s highest draft pick since Nate Griep was taken in the eighth round back in 2015. Brennan could return to K-State for his senior season, but the guaranteed money available to the Stilwell, KS native will likely be too much for him to pass-up.
