Prior to about 8:45pm last night, the answer to the question “when was the last time a K-State team repeated as conference champions?” was 2002, when the K-State women won their second straight Big 12 outdoor track and field crown.
After building a huge lead — as usual — courtesy of field events, K-State got a few clutch performances, caught a couple of lucky breaks, and held off the annual late surge by the Texas sprinting corps to claim the 2018 championship, repeating their feat from 2017.
