The Kansas State women concluded exhibition play with a 65-50 victory over Pittsburg State Monday night. The team used a 13-0 run late in the first quarter to erase a 9-3 deficit and never trailed again. Heralded freshman Christianna Carr, who struggled to a 2-for-15 shooting performance in the previous game, found her range and dropped in 27 points on 10-of-20 marksmanship, including 6-for 12 from three-point range. Carr was one of several “fresh faces” who had to step up in the absence of Kayla Goth (ankle injury) and Peyton Williams (scheduled night off).
