Slate: K-State women fall to No. 11 Kentucky

The Kansas State women’s basketball team lost a close one to No. 11 Kentucky Thursday night 60-49. An 11-0 UK run in the fourth quarter versus a Lady Cat team missing star sophomore center Ayoka Lee who hurt her ankle early in the game doomed the possibility of a big home upset for K-State. Christianna Carr had 15 and Rachel Ranke had 12 off the bench.

K-State’s next game, this Saturday versus UT-Arlington, was canceled on Thursday and replaced with a road trip to Central Arkansas. The game versus the Sugar Bears will tip at 2 p.
