What was already a dangerous proposition yesterday became even moreso when Kansas State took the court against the unbeaten Texas-Arlington Mavericks. Jeff Mittie’s squad was without the services of Cymone Goodrich, Savannah Simmons, and Rachel Ranke due to injuries while Christianna Carr was slowed from the lingering effects of strep throat.
All that, and a lot of mistakes, led to a 57-53 loss yesterday at Bramlage, dropping the Cats to 3-1 on the season. It was potentially a problem with a solution, but Mittie had expected Ranke and Simmons to be available before, basically, finding out too late to prepare the team for their absence.
