Seattle Seahawks release former Kansas State quarterback Jake Waters

Jake Waters is once again looking for a NFL home.

The Seattle Seahawks released the former Kansas State quarterback on Wednesday just eight days after they signed him, opting to bring in wide receiver Deontay Greenberry before their next preseason game.

Waters young professional career illustrates how difficult it is to make it in the NFL. After setting a single-season passing record at K-State during his senior year, Waters has now been released by two NFL teams. He went undrafted, but quickly signed a free-agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars, only to be cut within days.
