SEATON: Sean back in play as next head coach

There’s another new twist in the biggest parlor game in town: Who will replace Bill Snyder when he retires? The upshot: The Great Man Himself might get what he wants.

Former athletic director John Currie, who opposed appointing Sean as the successor, is gone, replaced by Gene Taylor. Taylor hasn’t committed himself one way or another. Furthermore, former President Kirk Schulz — who told The Mercury K-State would hire only a coach with head-coaching experience — is also gone.
