The former Kansas State All-American carded a two-round score of 7-under 137 during sectional qualifying Monday then survived a five-man playoff to earn a spot in the national championship for the first time in his career.
Streb was one of 15 players to garner spots from the Columbus qualifier. He carded a 3-under 69 at The Lakes Golf and Country Club early in the day and followed with a 4-under 68 at Brookside Golf and Country Club.
That left him in a five-way tie for 13th place with D.
