The Kansas State volleyball team fought hard against rival and ninth-ranked Kansas, but in the end the Jayhawks would prove their dominance, getting past the Wildcats in four games (22-25, 27-25, 15-25, 16-25) Wednesday night at Ahearn Field House.
Kansas swept the season series with the win.
“We didn’t sustain a high level of play throughout the match,” K-State head coach Suzie Fritz said. “I thought we talked about winning the serving and receiving battle — that clearly got away from us the more out of system we were playing.”
For the Wildcats, they go to 17-10 overall and 9-6 in the Big 12, while the Jayhawks improved to 25-2 and 13-2, trailing only Texas in the league.
