Blake Seiler’s promotion to Kansas State defensive coordinator comes with a new contract and a substantial raise.
Seiler will earn $440,000 in base salary this year. That amount will increase by $25,000 annually until his contract expires on April 30, 2021, according to a copy of the deal obtained through an open records request.
He was previously making $265,000 as the team’s linebackers coach.
Seiler, a former Bishop Carroll standout and K-State player, can also earn up to an extra 32 percent of his base salary in performance-based bonuses that range from helping the Wildcats reach a bowl game to winning a national championship.
