Moore overcomes loss, caps tumultuous two seasons in style for K-State

MANHATTAN — In a game Saturday that came down to defensive stops, one man stood out above the rest for Kansas State: junior linebacker Charmeachealle Moore.

The Dallas native, who came into the Wildcats’ game against West Virginia with only 28 tackles and one sack on the season, finished the game with a career-high 16 tackles, 2 sacks and 4 tackles for loss, powering K-State to a 24-23 victory.

His dominant performance included sacks on both of the Mountaineers’ opening drives to start the first and second halves. Most notably, Moore finished his night with a game-securing tackle on West Virginia’s final fourth-down attempt to give the ball back to K-State with only 2:28 remaining in the game.
