Lingering thoughts from Kansas State’s 42-21 victory at Baylor on Saturday:
1. More Alex Barnes, please.
Kansas State football fans would probably choose seconds of the Wildcats’ best running back over Thanksgiving turkey after the way Alex Barnes played against Baylor.
We finally saw what K-State’s offense is capable of when it gives the ball to Barnes, and the results were predictably impressive. Now the Wildcats need to keep using him like a featured rusher.
If he can amass 129 yards and four touchdowns in (pretty much) a single half against Baylor, imagine what he might do against Kansas and TCU if he is promoted to starter and plays a full game or if he operates in an even timeshare with Charles Jones.
