In Year One of Kansas State women’s basketball under coach Jeff Mittie, the Wildcats relied on their zone defense to win games. K-State put together a 19-14 record, an eight-win improvement from the previous season, and landed a berth in the WNIT.
With a year of experience and a strong recruiting class, Mittie expects the offense to step forward and give the Wildcats a more balanced approach in the 2015-16 season.
“We have to be an improved offensive team,” Mittie said. “Defense will still be a big part of our team but we have to grow on the offensive end of the court.
