MANHATTAN — Trailing for the majority of the first three quarters, the Kansas State women’s basketball team needed a spirited comeback to eke out a victory over upset-minded Pittsburg State on Monday night at Bramlage Coliseum.
The final score, 58-50, was just about the only thing coach Jeff Mittie was happy with following the game.
“One of the things that I’ve always been proud of is our effort, and that is one of the most disappointing things about tonight,” Mittie said. “That’s one of the most concerning things about the night, our effort. We really should’ve been beat tonight.
