LAWRENCE — If you were a Kansas State football player suited up for Saturday’s game at Kansas, you played.
K-State coach Bill Snyder hasn’t had the opportunity to clear his bench with the comfort of a large lead until the Sunflower Showdown when the Wildcats built an early lead and rolled to a 45-14 victory over the Jayhawks.
“That’s one of the positive things about having a significant lead in the ballgame, that we got to play a number of back-ups in the course of the game,” Snyder said.
The Wildcats used three quarterbacks — Joe Hubener, Kody Cook and the debut of freshman Zach Davidson — and four kickers — Jack Cantele, Matthew McCrane, Ian Patterson and Dillon Wilson.
