Marc Murrell: K-State fishing team wins national championship

Kyle Alsop and Taylor Bivins hoist their trophies for winning the 2016 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship recently on Kentucky's Green River Lake. The duo, members of K-State's fishing team, had a cumulative total of 36 pounds, 4 ounces for the tournament as well as big fish for the tournament with a 6-pound, 13-ounce bucketmouth. They were the only team in the field of 89 teams to bring in more than 10 pounds to the scales each day.

The Kansas State University fishing team added another feather to its fishing cap.

The 2016 Carhartt Bassmaster College Series National Championship was held recently in Kentucky on Green River Lake.
