The Kansas State Wildcats continued their hot streak on the recruiting trail by picking up a commitment from Manhattan offensive lineman Sam Shields on Wednesday.
Shields is a 6-foot-5, 287-pound offensive tackle with family ties to the Wildcats. His mother, Jill, is K-State’s deputy athletic director.
He committed to play for the Wildcats after also receiving scholarship offers from Kansas, South Dakota and North Dakota State.
Rivals rates him as a three-star recruit.
Shields is the fourth member of K-State’s 2020 recruiting class and the third high school prospect to pledge his services to the Wildcats this week.
