Malek Harris cut from men’s basketball team

And then there were three. Malek Harris became the third player cut from the men’s basketball team today after the end of a dismal 15-17 season. Harris joins Marcus Foster and Tre Harris in a list of players dismissed by coach Bruce Weber.

The ever dwindling roster already saw the loss of three players to transfers, as well as graduating seniors Thomas Gipson and Nino Williams.

“We have high standards for the players in our program,” Weber said in a press release. “Unfortunately, Malek could not live up to those expectations. We wish him the best as he continues his basketball career.
