Loss keeps K-State at bottom of Big 12 baseball standings

MANHATTAN — Kansas State is running out of time to escape the cellar of the Big 12 baseball standings and earn a spot in the conference tournament.

Playing their final home game of the season, the Wildcats lost 3-0 to Oklahoma on Sunday at Tointon Family Stadium as the Sooners took two-of-three in the series.

The Wildcats, 26-22 overall, dropped to 5-13 in the Big 12 — two back in the loss column to 6-11 Oklahoma State — with road series remaining at Kansas and Baylor.

“It puts more pressure on you, that’s for sure,” K-State coach Brad Hill said.
