Kansas State senior defensive back Dante Barnett gained national attention for the fifth time in the last two weeks by being named to the 2015 Walter Camp award watch list, the Walter Camp Football Foundation announced Friday.
Barnett is one of 50 candidates on this season’s watch list and is the sixth K-State player to be named in the past four years.
The senior will be following a junior season where he recorded 77 tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 3 interceptions and 11 passes defended. Barnett earned second team All-Big 12 honors last season and was named to the preseason All-Big 12 team Wednesday.
