Kansas State sophomore place kicker Matthew McCrane was named to the Lou Groza Award watch list the Palm Beach County Sports Commission announced Thursday.
McCrane is one of 30 players on the list for the award, which is given to the nation’s top place kicker at the end of the football season. He made 18 of 19 field goals after taking over kicking duties in the fourth game of the season last year. He scored 94 points, breaking Martin Gramatica’s freshman record for total points of 56.
