MANHATTAN — After sitting out much of the first half with two fouls, Breanna Lewis scored 18 of her season-high 24 points after intermission to lead Kansas State’s women’s basketball team to a 78-50 victory against Sam Houston State on Saturday night at Bramlage Coliseum.
Lewis scored K-State’s final six points of the first half after coach Jeff Mittie re-inserted her in the final minutes, then picked up right where she left off once the second half began.
“I thought (Lewis) was strong with it when we got it to her late — much stronger — and it looked like she had a good determination to her when she got the ball,” Mittie said.
