Late 3-pointer helps Kansas State women beat Oklahoma State

MANHATTAN — With a clutch 3-pointer with just more than two minutes remaining, Kansas State’s Kindred Wesemann led the Wildcats to their first Big 12 victory of the season, defeating Oklahoma State 47-44.

With the win, K-State avoided the program’s first five-game losing streak in six seasons.

After losing a lead in the waning seconds of the first half, K-State battled throughout the second half to keep the Cowgirls’ lead minimal before Wesemann hit a huge 3-pointer in the face of a defender to tie the game at 44 with 2:06 left.

Wesemann, second in the Big 12 in 3-point goals, used a set screen to score the game-changing basket.
