K-State defensive end Kyle Ball is a finalist for the prestigious Piesman Trophy this year, and he’s only a sophomore!
The Piesman Trophy is a college football award honoring the most outstanding play with the ball by an offensive or defensive lineman. Finalists for the award were revealed Sunday morning.
In the fourth quarter of K-State’s victory against Central Arkansas on Sept. 2, senior Brogan Barry forced a fumble by UCA’s Hayden Hildebrand on a delayed corner blitz. Ball scooped up the fumble at the K-State 24-yard-line and ran it back 55 yards to the UCA 21-yard line, tight-roping the sideline for part of the way.
