KANSAS CITY, Mo. — If a whistle is blown and the ball winds up in freshman Carlton Bragg’s hands, he almost always hoists up a 3-point practice shot or a long 2 — and almost as often, his practice look touches only twine.
In Kansas’ 85-63 victory over Kansas State on Thursday afternoon in the Sprint Center, Bragg saw an opening before the whistle blew and knocked in a 3 from the top of the arc, sporting his signature smile while trotting back on defense.
Bragg saw his workload increase against the Wildcats. He was the second big man off the bench and scored in spurts.
