LAWRENCE — The Kansas basketball team placed all five starters on All-Big 12 teams but came up short in every major individual award announced by the conference Sunday afternoon.
Forward Perry Ellis was named to the All-Big 12 first team, while guards Wayne Selden and Frank Mason made second team, and guard Devonte' Graham and forward Landen Lucas were named honorable mention.
However, the No. 1-ranked Jayhawks (27-4, 15-3 Big 12), who wrapped their 12th consecutive Big 12 regular-season title with 10 straight conference victories to end the season, did not have an individual winner. The coaches chose Oklahoma's Buddy Hield as the conference player of the year, and selected Texas Tech's Tubby Smith over Kansas' Bill Self for coach of the year.
