The Kansas State women’s golf team opens its season at home Monday, as the Wildcats will compete in the Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational that runs through Tuesday at the par-72, 6,243-yard Colbert Hills Golf Course.
Consisting of 36 holes in the two days, Monday’s start is set for 8:30 a.m., followed by 18 holes on Tuesday with an 8:15 a.m. start.
The Marilynn Smith/Sunflower Invitational is a tournament that is rotated between Lawrence and Manhattan and the event is free and open to the public.
Defending champion K-State will have all six members of the team competing in the opening event of the season with Madison Talley, Scotland Preston, Paige Nelson, Connie Jaffrey and Katherine Gravel-Coursol making up the scoring lineup.
