Bill Snyder Family Stadium is one of the places on campus that will not allow concealed carry when new law goes into effect on July 1.
Wildcat fans will face additional security measures at K-State athletic events this fall.
The Kansas Board of Regents’ governance committee on Wednesday approved K-State’s request to bar firearms from ticketed athletic events at Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Bramlage Coliseum as well as during some events at McCain Auditorium, Forum Hall in the K-State Student Union and the Beach Museum of Art.
K-State officials made the request because a state law will allow people to carry concealed firearms on college campuses.
