Kody Cook has earned the right to be the quarterback for K-State

I would say that the K-State quarterback controversy has hit its zenith, but I have a feeling that after all that we’ve seen, I might be calling it too soon.

Last Saturday, K-State traveled down to Stillwater, Oklahoma with only one scholarship quarterback in junior starter Joe Hubener.

Such is the state of injuries in Manhattan that an undisclosed injury to sophomore junior college transfer Jonathan Banks, the original fourth string of this quarterback corps, left K-State with just Hubener and an unlikely backup in junior wide receiver Kody Cook.

So, when fans held their breath as Hubener felt the brunt of a Cowboy’s defensive player as he attempted to slide, all injury-weary K-State eyes shifted to Cook, hoping for some kind of miracle.
