K-STATE 29, NEBRASKA 28
MANHATTAN — Quincy Morgan grabbed seven receptions for 199 yards and two touchdowns as No. 16 Kansas State weathered rain, sleet and snow to nip No. 4 Nebraska 29-28.
Morgan’s 12-yard touchdown catch from quarterback Jonathan Beasley with 2:52 remaining gave the Wildcats their decisive margin.
Nebraska attempted to rally, but a fourth-and-5 pass by Eric Crouch was broken up by the Cats’ Dyshod Carter, ending the Huskers’ national championship hopes. Crouch was limited to 82 yards of total offense and was 2 of 13 passing.
