Musings at the mid-week:
u25a0 Not sure the first time I met Bob Davis, but as I recall he acted as if we had known each other for years.
u25a0 A little bit of that came from me representing his hometown newspaper, yet much more stemmed from his warm personality.
u25a0 Davis did not mind sharing a joke with anyone, and always managed to keep them fresh.
u25a0 Same for his calls from so many arenas, fields and diamonds — both across the state and well beyond.
u25a0 Gonna miss him at Kansas games after he announced, on Tuesday, his upcoming retirement.
