MANHATTAN -- For me, one of my most vivid bowl memories from last season meant little in the grand scheme of things.
Which, of course, made it a bowl moment ... given that most of the games mean little.
We were lounging on Christmas Eve, turned on TV, saw that the Popeye’s Bahamas Bowl was on and never watched too intently. Except to notice the sparse crowd and realize, well, the game was in the Bahamas and the beach was obviously more inviting.
With or without red beans and rice from Popeye’s.
One of us, however, happened to look in on the makings of a miraculous rally.
