The Kansas Supreme Court on Friday overturned a Court of Appeals decision and ordered a Riley County court to reconsider whether former Kansas State star offensive lineman Kendyl Jacox owes interest on previously unpaid child support payments.
Jacox, who played four seasons with the San Diego Chargers and another four with the New Orleans Saints in his NFL career, paid $136,562 in back child-support payments after a judgment against him was reached in a case in Texas, where he resided. The Texas judgment covered only the amount of child support in arrears, and did not include interest on the unpaid amount.
