The Kansas State football team unveiled new military themed uniforms for its game against Oklahoma State on Saturday.
They feature white helmets with a splash of silver camouflage and a purple Powercat, white camouflage gloves, camouflage compression pants and white camouflage cleats. They will be worn on K-State’s annual Fort Riley Day as a way to honor the military.
They are a subtle change from the uniforms K-State traditionally wears, but they represent the biggest uniform changes K-State has made under coach Bill Snyder.
The Wildcats are wearing a helmet color other than silver for the first time since 1988, a year before Snyder became coach, when they wore purple helmets that featured the word “Cats” written in cursive.
