MANHATTAN
For the first time since practices began earlier this month, Kansas State players will get a taste of outside competition when the Wildcats host an exhibition game against Emporia State at 7 p.m. on Friday.
“It will be a good experience,” K-State junior Wesley Iwundu said. “We are ready to start. It will be exciting playing a different team, not just the guys on our team. I am ready for it.”
In past years, K-State has opened its exhibition schedule with a scrimmage against a notable opponent, played behind closed doors in an empty arena.
