Kansas State named its new new football locker room after Jordy Nelson on Thursday.
The Wildcats announced the honor after Nelson, along with his wife Emily, decided to give back to his alma mater and donated a generous amount of money to the school’s athletic department. It will now be called the Nelson Family Locker Room.
Nelson joined K-State as a walk-on from Riley and originally played defensive back. But he found stardom as a receiver and is now a Pro Bowler with the Green Bay Packers.
“Jordy and Emily are model K-Staters and for them to graciously give to enhance the experience of Wildcat student-athletes and fans is a true testament to their passion and love for K-State,” athletic director John Currie said.
