Kansas State loses Alex Delton to a knee injury

The Kansas State Wildcats have yet to be battle tested this season with South Dakota and UT-San Antonio as their first two opponents.

Bill Snyder’s defense has managed to allow only three points and under 250 yards of total offense over those two contests, but misfortune is most obvious at the hands of the quarterback position.

After losing starter Jesse Ertz for an undisclosed time with a knee injury, which happened in a matter of a few snaps in week one, his back-up Joe Hubener has taken over the reps. But if Hubener succumbs to injury in his upcoming appearances – knock on wood – there’s not much insurance, since Alex Delton is ineligible to back Hubener up after injuring his meniscus against UT-San Antonio.
