The Sunflower Showdown is on its way to a familiar result.
Kansas State leads Kansas 35-7 after one half of football at Memorial Stadium.
The Wildcats built their lead behind two rushing touchdowns by fullback Winston Dimel and two blocked punts by Morgan Burns, one of which resulted in a score. Fullback Glenn Gronkowski and quarterback Joe Hubener scored K-State’s other two touchdowns.
They Jayhawks scored their lone touchdown less than four minutes into the game on a 27-yard pass from Ryan Willis to Tre Parmalee. The score tied the game at 7-7, but it has been all K-State since.
