MANHATTAN — He just had the best game of his still-young college football career, but Will Geary took no joy in his accomplishments.
Geary, Kansas State’s sophomore defensive tackle from Topeka, recorded career-highs with 8 tackles, 3 tackles for loss and 2 sacks last Saturday against Oklahoma, one of the few positive performances in the Wildcats’ 55-0 loss.
“Making plays when you’re down by 30 points, you really don’t get too excited,” Geary said after the game.
Of his two sacks of OU quarterback Baker Mayfield, Geary said: “One of them wasn’t too spectacular. They kind of let me go free.
