K-State’s Prewett arrested

Kansas State safety Kaleb Prewett was arrested early Sunday morning by Riley County Police and charged with the purchase/consumption of liquor by a minor.

Prewett, 20, was picked up at 1:16 a.m. on Sunday in the 1600 block of Fairchild Ave. He posted $500 bond and was released.

A sophomore from Blue Springs, Mo., Prewett was one of the Wildcats’ starting safeties for the first nine games of the season, but missed the final three due to an injury.

Prewett is fourth on the team with 49 tackles and one sack this season. His best game was at Texas Tech when he collected a career-high 12 stops.
