Kansas State's Morgan Burns was selected the first team return specialist on the USA Today All-America football team announced Tuesday.
Burns, a senior from Wichita, led the nation with four kickoff returns for touchdowns this season (100, 93, 100, 97 yards), averaging 33.8 yards (No. 2 nationally) on 31 returns. Three of the touchdowns came in the final four games, earning four straight Big 12 Conference special teams player of the week awards.
KU, K-STATE SPIKERS HONORED — Kansas State junior setter Katie Brand was named to the All-Midwest Region volleyball team for the second time in her career and was joined on the first team by Kansas players Ainise Havili (also a two-time selection), Kelsie Payne and Tayler Soucie.
