MANHATTAN — When asked to evaluate his performance or the progress of Kansas State’s offense throughout the season, quarterback Joe Hubener had a stock answer: It’s a work in progress but we’re getting better.
While it has been baby steps and not giant leaps, Hubener has shown incremental improvement as a first-year starting quarterback.
“There’s certain areas that I’ve improved but there’s still a long way to go,” Hubener said. “I’m not going to rate the way I’ve played. I’d say there’s been a lot of opportunities and some of them I’ve been able to take advantage of and there were numerous I was not able to take advantage of.
