MANHATTAN — Kansas State forward Isaiah Maurice has an opportunity to build on the strong finish to his freshman basketball season with his selection to an Athletes in Action international tour team.
Maurice is part of the AIA squad that will compete in the Czech Republic and Poland from May 23 to June 5. The 6-foot-10 native of Durham, N.C., averaged 3.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 0.5 blocks in 30 games during his redshirt freshman season at K-State, but over the final seven games he averaged 5.9 points while playing 11.9 minutes a game.
This is the third time in five years Wildcat players have been selected for an AIA tour, with Justin Edwards and Brandon Bolden participating in 2014 and Thomas Gipson and Jevon Thomas in 2013.
