MANHATTAN — With an offense that struggled to gain momentum until late in the game, the Kansas State defense did all it could to not allow Louisiana Tech to take advantage of all of its opportunities to punch the ball in the end zone.
A huge part of the defense’s success against the Bulldogs was the play of sophomore linebacker Elijah Lee and junior defensive end Jordan Willis. The duo combined for 17 total tackles and 5.5 sacks, with each player having a sack that forced fourth downs in K-State’s 39-33 win at Bill Snyder Family Stadium.
Not only did both of the players do well statistically, they both worked together for a game-changing play late in the fourth quarter that turned the game around for K-State (3-0).
